Maria Romeyko graduated from Leningrad State Institute of Mechanics and Optics and Leningrad State University of Economics and Finance. She undertook two traineeship programs in Public Relations in the USA (Washington D. C.) and Sweden (Stockholm). Mrs. Romeyko worked as special correspondent for Radio of Russia and as a journalist for local and national broadcasting companies. She held a position of a Head of Press Office for Alexey Kudrin, first deputy head of St. Petersburg government. She is a member of Journalist Union of Russia, and has practical knowledge and experience in election technologies. Maria Romeyko participated in election campaigns for President of Russia, State Duma deputies, Governor and deputies of Parliament of St. Petersburg.
Maria Romeyko was an adviser to Irina Hakamada, vice-speaker of State Duma of Russian Federation. She also was in charge of election campaigns at all levels of legislative and executive bodies in regions of Russia: Siberia, Leningrad region, St. Petersburg and others.
